Tengo dos anuncios muy importantes! 1) SoBLa ha organizado una conferencia de un día que destacará la investigación de biofísicos latinoamericanos con el titulo “Expanding Opportunities in Biophysical Research and Training: Quantitative and Mechanistic Approaches to Cell Membrane Signaling”. Se celebrará el 19 de febrero de 2027, un día antes del inicio de la Reunión Anual de la Sociedad Biofísica. Contamos con un excelente programa de ponentes y eventos para establecer contactos. Fijense en el folleto para mas información. ¡Regístrese a través de este enlace! 2) Me da mucho placer en anunciar que, por un segundo ano consecutivo, SoBLa ofrecerá un premio de viaje de $2000 para atender la reunion anual a la Sociedad Biofísica de 2027 en Philadelphia! El sistema es el mismo que el del ano pasado, podes solicitar para el premio cuando entregas tu “abstract” para el reunion. También te pedimos que nos hable sobre tus actividades y participación comunitaria fuera del laboratorio. Aproveche esa oportunidad para contarnos mas sobre su trayectoria. ____________________________ I have two very important announcements! 1) SoBLa has organized a one day conference highlighting research from Latin biophysicists, titled “Expanding Opportunities in Biophysical Research and Training: Quantitative and Mechanistic Approaches to Cell Membrane Signaling”. It will be held February 19th, 2027, the day before the start of the Biophysical Society Annual Meeting. We have a great line up of speakers and networking events planed. Please follow this link to register! 2) I am pleased to announce that for a second year in a row, SoBLA will be offering a $2000 travel award to attend the 2027 Biophysical Society Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. You can apply for our award when you submit your abstract for the meeting. You will be asked to tell us about outreach or community engagement activities outside of the lab.
